Button Love... My Girl Collection!

This is a compilation 

of my Button Love Girl series...

These were done over the past two years.

Some of you may have seen them in my earlier posts;

to those who are new to my blog,

this will give you a quick overview of my collection.

From my hand drawn pen sketches to embroidery sewing...

wall hanging, pouch, pincushion, mugrug.

 

I hope to design lots more handmade items;

incorporating 'my Button Love Girl'...

Sketches to Stitches... & to Fabric Envelopes

Yes, after a long time... I finally decided to

sew them into fabric envelope pouches!!

If you do still remember,these are some of my sketches
posted more than a year ago...
I love drawing birds, trees, houses,
... inspirations from nature!

Then, I transferred my sketches into beautiful stitches,

together with hand sewn applique,
flower & lace crochets,
& button...

Eventually, I hand sewn them into fabric envelopes.

I have chosen cotton fabrics with simple patterns
... dots and lines - basic elements,
for the exterior and interior of the envelopes.

Hand crocheted white lace are also added 
to give more personalised touch to these lovelies.

These beautiful handmade fabric envelopes
are very practical, and closed with a fabric covered button.
Ideal to keep your notecards, letters, postcards
... things that you treasure!

Crocheted Drawstring Pouches

Yes, this is my first attempt in hand crocheting

... a drawstring pouch.

I have used the same natural colours - crochet yarns

as my mini doily coasters.

These drawstring pouches are cute

and very practical too!

I crocheted the green pouch first...

discovered that it is quite plain,

therefore, the second pouch,

I made the flower motif in the middle - white,
in order to contrast the overall brown colour.

Anyhow, I love these little beauties...
and they are available in my etsy shop;
they both make a nice & lovely handmade gifts!!

With love... & white lace tatting

This is another mini purse - handmade with love...

and a white lace tatting!

Handsewn using japanese cotton and linen cotton;

a perfect fabric combination...
giving a very natural floral vintage feel!

These beautifully hand sewn purses

are made using a 10cm flex frame,
they make a perfect gift.

They are available in my shop!

With love... & pink lace tatting

This is my new range of mini handsewn purse 
...with my beautiful lace tatting!

An elegant purse...

a patchwork with vintage floral prints + cotton linen fabric

and a pink lace tatting!

I have used a 10cm flex frame for this purse.
I love flex frame purse!
It is very practical and convenient to use.

I had fun making this mini purse...

and it is sewn with lots of love!   

 This simple, yet elegant purse will be available 
in my etsy shop. 

It makes a wonderful gift...

Birdie Patchwork Pouches

These are my patchwork pouch,
they are fully handsewn using flex frame...

and a combination of cotton & linen cotton fabrics.

One pink birdie, and a yellow birdie...

with small patches of polka dots prints
& a simple hand crocheted flower for each of them!
Both the patchwork pouches are lined with polka dots cotton fabrics.

The pink colour birdie patchwork pouch will be kept for myself!
...but the yellow one will be going in my etsy shop.

A Pretty Blue Thing ...

Yes... blue is one of my favourite colours!

A hand crocheted flower crochet 

with a lovely polka dot fabric covered button in the middle.

This is my second attempt in handsewing this flex frame pouch. 

I have used simple and pretty cotton fabric prints. 

And also using a shorter flex frame measuring 10 cm,

as compared to my first attempt. 

In the future, I will be making some of these flex frame pouch 

for my etsy shop.

Mini Pouches

Small handmade things... are beautiful! 

These are more of my mini hand sewn pouches 

using polka dots fabrics and cotton linens. 
 They are easy to sew... and can be quite addictive too!

Try sewing something small... you will love it!

A Handmade Gift

Handmade Flex Frame Pouch

This is my latest project!! I have been viewing lots of beautiful handmade purse, pouch, bags... I was indeed very inspired to sew one for myself.

I successfully made this small flex frame pouch. It really gives me a sense of accomplishment!! Just love the beautifully fabrics; a combination of floral and checker prints. And also the soft and sweet colours of the fabrics.

 By the way, it is fully hand sewn, and of course, I have stitched on my flower crochet and fabric button... it is my trademark! Overall, with the size of the pouch, it could be used as a cosmetic pouch.
