Red Lace Tattings

Lately, I am into my tatting again...

this time, a red lace.

It is a beautiful lace pattern.
Simple, yet very elegant looking.

These lace tattings will be used 

for my future sewing projects.

Handsewn using japanese cotton and linen cotton;

a perfect fabric combination...
giving a very natural floral vintage feel!

These beautifully hand sewn purses

are made using a 10cm flex frame,
they make a perfect gift.

I have used a 10cm flex frame for this purse.
I love flex frame purse!
It is very practical and convenient to use.

I had fun making this mini purse...

and it is sewn with lots of love!   

 This simple, yet elegant purse will be available

In love with tatting... lace

More tatting for this week... and just loving it!

I managed to find a simple tatting pattern
for lace edgings.

I happily tatted these three beautiful lace

in three different colours...

pink, white & a multi-coloured cotton threads.

Simple; and yet very elegant looking laces

... these tatted laces could be added to tablecloth,

handkerchief, blouse, purse - almost anything!

In love with tatting... doily

My second attempt in tatting...

I tatted a pink doily!

A pretty and easy pattern indeed.

Actually I must admit that I made two mistakes on the doily...

however, I was too lazy to undo them!

Not sure if you can spot the mistakes...

Anyhow, not too bad for a beginner...

I definitely need more practice in tatting,

practice makes perfect, right!

Hopefully some of you will learn this craft...

the outcome is just beautifully amazing!

Tatting is just knots,

made on a thread and pulled together to form

chains and rings...

the art of lace making. 

My new love... tatting!

The technique and material are simple;

which makes it into a fascinating needlework.

Tatting dates back to the early 19th century

...a timeless needlework with many possibilities.

I love tatting because it is so exciting, and a relaxing needlework. 

Seeing my mother's beautiful tatting doilies 

have inspired me to learn this technique.

So far, this is my first attempt, I had managed to produce 

a series of beautiful butterflies and flowers.
