Beginner's Guide to the Handmade World

I love this book. I must say that this book is awesome !! "The Handmade Marketplace" by Kari Chapin is the best-selling guide that helps you market your crafts and set up your handmade business.

The author has included brilliant, and most importantly practical tips... It provides a step by step process that helps you to start out your handmade business. And also, brilliant insight into ways of approaching marketing especially into online avenues.

Personally, this book has been very helpful to me... and given me the confidence in getting started in the handmade marketplace. I would definitely recommend this book to all my crafty friends!!

Flower Crochet Hair Clips

After months and months, I am still very much addicted to my flower crochets. I kept on doing lots and lots of them ... every single day during my free time, usually during the nights.

And this time around, I made them into lovely hair clips. I have attached them to metal hair clips. Very sweet indeed!

Hope you love them as well, just like my flower crochet brooches...

Collage Art Birdie

This is an easy and quick piece of collage artwork completed in half an hour...a rather small piece of handmade collage illustration, a postcard size! By using a range of paper materials of different textures and patterns; including both the visual and tactile textures. I have assembled them together to form a collage art piece!

The colours are very natural indeed, using raw and found materials being manipulated creatively to achieve many interesting textural effects.

And of course! Not forgetting to include my hand-sewn stitches and buttons...in my collage art birdie! It somehow adds a special touch... a handmade feel to it!

Green Frames

This is a collage work; a patchwork inspired piece of work! Using not fabric, but a range of papers with different mark makings. It is a revisitation into my past explorations and experimentations in various mark making techniques. It expresses the beauty of frames in sequence...
